Even the most cohesive of couples can have difficulties at times throughout their relationship.  Often times couples need a non-biased third party to work with them to help them develop positive and effective ways of communicating with each other.  I believe in working hard to make sure that both parties are heard and understood and that no one feels demonized or wrong for their actions.

Types of Couples Counseling

Premarital Counseling

Often times couples want to make sure that they are on the same page as their partners in terms of family, finances, kids, time spent together and time spent apart, and other issues that concern couples on ther verge of getting married.  Couples want a safe place to talk about these issues and that is where I can help.  Through counseling, I can help couples learn to express themselves, hear their partners and be heard by their partners.

Co-Parenting

Divorce and separation can be trying times for couples with children.  It is challenging to navigate these waters and find compromise that will work for everyone involved.  During sessions, we can talk about concerns that each person has and find ways to satisfy all parties involved.

Reconciliation

When couples decide that they want to recomcile, I can help work out the issues that caused the separation in the first place.  Through honest and open talking it is possible to work out issues and establish new guide lines for the family and a new way of living.
